's Drama and Musical Theatre workshops give your child a unique opportunity to work with experienced, professional practitioners to learn a variety of performance techniques.

What is it?
A 5 day workshop which gives children a chance to focus on learning particular aspects of drama and musical theatre techniques, whilst having a lot of fun and making friends from other schools or areas at the same time! Workshops culminate in a performance for friends and family at 3pm on the last afternoon, giving the children an opportunity to show how much they have learnt over the course of the workshop. During our Musical Theatre workshops, the children will work together to produce a 20-30 minute extract of a well-known musical. The Drama workshops give children a chance to devise pieces of theatre from their own original concepts, with guidance from our experienced teams to prepare them for performance.

Who are they for?
Workshops are suitable for all children aged 5 and upwards. No previous experience of singing, acting or dancing is necessary.

What will the children need?
The children will need to wear clothes and shoes which are comfortable to move freely in. They will also need to bring a packed lunch, drinks and snacks. A reasonably-priced tuck shop is often available.

How much will it cost?
The workshop costs £90 for five days. There is NO charge for family and friends to attend the Friday performance. (Please note that tickets may initially be limited to 2 per child at some venues due to fire regulations, but as far as possible we will try to give out extra tickets to those who need them.)

•	SIBLING DISCOUNT: When one child attends a workshop, subsequent siblings receive a 10% discount on the total cost of the same workshop.
•	YOUtheatre UK DISCOUNT: £5 off each workshop for any child who is a current member of YOUtheatre UK

More than one discount may be applied.

Where and when?
The workshops will be held at the venues listed above. Workshops will start at 9am and finish at 4pm.

Spaces on our workshops book up very quickly, and places are allocated strictly on a first come first served basis, so please book early to avoid disappointment. We regret that we cannot reserve spaces without payment, but if you contact us, we are usually happy to hold spaces for a few days until your application forms and cheques wing their way through the Royal Mail system to us!
