St George's Day

(The Great St George slaying the dragon)
St George's Day was a busy day here at 2BAAP! We darted around Tameside to peform the story of St George in front of the sun enjoying crowds.
The short peformance was enjoyed firstly outside the George Lawton Hall in Mossley before we drew a bumper crowd in Ashton Centre. It was then
onto Snipe Retail Park in Audenshaw where the performance was watched by Saturday shoppers. Although their was a clash of celebrities which
threatened to turn ugly as St George himself appeared to be upstaged by The Easter Bunny, who just happened to be passing through B&Q. The
confrontation was settled amicably and the potential mythological superfight was spared, and the show went on. Next up was Droylsden where the
Tameside Repoter stopped by to catch photos of the action. Performances continued Denton, Hyde, Dukinfield and rounded up at Stalybridge where St
George's trusty servant Neddy was set upon by a child spectator. Fortunately the child was appeased by an England flag to celebrate his heritage.
The Performers

On the left is Colin Ward who played Neddy and The Dragon. In the centre is Sean Wilcock who played St George and to the right is Chesney Talbot who played The Scribe.
The show was well received and 2BAAP would like to thank everyone who watched and took part in a fun-filled and memorable afternoon.

It’s Winter again, Millie’s
favourite time of year. But how will she react when the season that
she has always loved becomes a Winter without end? A strange encounter
with Sage, the Wood Elf, teaches Millie that humans have stopped caring
about the Earth, and that the Winter Song which once heralded the
end of Winter can no longer be heard. Without the song, the Spring
has no way of knowing that it is time to return to the Earth, so Millie
sets off on a quest to find the song, meeting an array of unusual,
magical friends along the way. But is Millie’s strange adventure
a fantasy, a dream, or a reality?
The show is aimed
primarily at 5 to 11 year olds and 'kids at heart' of all ages! The
show is a one act play, and runs for approximately 45 minutes with
no interval.
