Upcoming Events

are delighted to be involved in Tameside's first ever Scarecrow Festival,
organised by Tameside Council's Theatre Arts Team and Park Cafe, with
support from Operation Farm. The festival will encourage creativity
and recycling as well as fostering community pride, and individuals,
community groups and businesses are all invited to join in the fun.
There will be community based activities for people to join in with,
including a Grand Scarecrow competition where people can have a go
at making their own scarecrow and win up to £250!
Highlights include a scarecrow hunt around Hyde town centre between
now and September 11th. Children can also get involved by entering
an art competition and there will be scarecrows in the Clarendon Arcades,
Hyde on Saturday 11 September. During the day there will also be 'living'
scarecrows in Hyde Park, telling stories on the scarecrow theme. Full
details of the event can be found at www.tameside.gov.uk/scarecrowfestival
